Online wish list a great success – thank you!
Kindness for Kids, our Amazon holiday wish list for kids in JFS care, generated $8,078 worth of donated items.The most popular was this cute elephant, Lil Benny, which cost $14.99. It was added to the list after a caseworker said one of her kids asked for stuffed animals. Within just a few days, we had 25 of them.
More than 50 caseworkers stopped in to shop – a huge increase over the number last year, which was the first year we used an Amazon list. Some donations also were taken to the two holiday parties the agency had for kids in care, giving kids the chance to choose things for themselves.
