Kindness for Kids is our community donation program for kids in foster care. You likely hear most about it at Christmas time, but our Amazon list is available year-round for those who ask us how they can help.

The Need is Real

More than 1,900 kids currently live in foster care in Hamilton County.
Each holiday season, donors help make sure the holidays are a little brighter through Kindness for Kids.
Donors utilize our Amazon Wish List to pick out gifts for youth in foster care. Thee donors pay though their own Amazon account, but have the gifts shipped to JFS.

It works well for the holiday season, and donors can make a big difference year round for a child or teen.

Ways to Help Now

Items on the list vary, depending on the need. Birthday gifts, for example, are always needed. Now, as prom and graduation come closer, our caseworkers want to help teens on their caseloads be able to take part in these big occasions. After graduation, the teens will need things for their dorms or apartments. Many will transition to living independently, start their first job, move away to school, etc.
