Kindness for Kids gift drive growing thanks to community support

We’re growing our annual holiday gift drive for kids in foster care this year in hopes of giving at least one gift to all the almost 1,900 kids in care. Our effort is drawing big support from a lot of other Hamilton County departments, including the Sheriff, Public Defender, Law Library and the Clerk of Courts. We so appreciate all the help.

Donations from our Amazon wish list have started to arrive. You can hear ads on Warm 98 and other Cumulus stations; TV ads will start soon on WLWT.

Here are other ways to help:

At a Bengals game: Our volunteers will be at the Nov. 26 game versus the Steelers. Volunteers will be at stadium gates and Bengal Jim’s tailgate to take donations.

Donate blood: Hoxworth Blood Center will put donation bins in its donor centers and encouraging thousands of donors to bring a toy with them when they come to donate blood.

Stuff the Bus: On Dec. 2, thanks to help from Metro, we’ll be stuffing a bus full of toys. The stuffing begins at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Crossroads, Oakley.

Kenwood Towne Centre: Stop by the mall Dec. 2 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for Santa’s arrival party. We’ll be there with a holiday game, some treats and our toy collection bins.
