Adoption Day brings new families together
There were very few dry eyes in the courtroom Friday for our National Adoption Day ceremonies.
Fourteen kids in foster care joined seven families. It was our 10th annual event to bring awareness to adoption and the need for foster kids to find forever families.
The children were all dressed up for their big day, some in clothes matching their siblings’ – perfect for the first official family portraits our photographer took as a special gift to them from HCJFS.
Hamilton County Probate Judge Ted Winkler talked to them about the importance of family and about relying on faith when times with their children become difficult. He let the children bang his gavel.
Thank you to everyone who helped us put this special day together. It is one of our favorite days of the year.
