Three siblings, three families connected forever

Such a neat story this morning in Hamilton County Probate Court – four siblings are being adopted by three separate families. All of them are in court to support each other and to stay connected for the children.

Colleen Edwards finalizing the adoption of her daughter

Andrew’s adoption was first. Then his sister was adopted by Colleen Edwards, who has adopted before.

It’s an unusual situation where three siblings are adopted by three different families that all commit to keeping the children close. We thank these wonderful adoptive parents.

November is National Adoption Month. We kicked off the month Friday with our annual National Adoption Day collection of ceremonies, when 13 kids joined nine families.

We’ll continue all month to bring you stories about adoption. We have about 400 kids in foster care who are waiting for permanent families. Could your family take in one of them?
