Agencies still looking for shoppers to buy for foster kids this year
Holidays can be tough for foster kids. Many don’t have the financial assistance to provide the things other kids may take for granted.
If you’d like to help give a foster child some holiday cheer, here are some ways:
FAMILY Fund
The FAMILY Fund provides support for things that HCJFS generally cannot cover, such as school trips, college tours and car repairs.
Beech Acres
Beech Acres is seeking assistance with its Inspire A Family program. You can be anonymously matched with a family to shop for gifts, or make a cash donation.
SAFY
This agency still has about 22 kids in foster care who have not yet been “adopted” for Christmas. If you’re interested in buying gifts for one of these kids, please contact SAFY at 513-771-7239.
