Celebrating a special back-to-school adoption day
Today we’re celebrating Back to School Adoption Day and the joining of five kids with their new forever families.
Every year, we help with this special adoption day in Hamilton County Probate Judge Ralph Winkler’s court. He holds the ceremonies in the summertime so kids can start the new school year with their new names.
Congratulations to:
- Brothers Aiden, 15, and Alijah, 14, who both start high school soon. Their parents are family friends of their grandma and agreed to take them in when she could no longer care for them. They wanted the boys to stay together.
- Marlee, 9, and Mar’iyah, who turned 11 today! They join their mom’s biological daughter and another sister who was adopted last year.
- Nazarra, 5, who’s now officially in the same family as her half-brother.
