It’s official for Vonne – a happy day for this boy and his family
Pamela Perry saw Vonne’s picture on our foster care and adoption website, HCkids.org. She took that first step and inquired about him – and we’re so glad she did.
Today, Vonne officially became part of the Perry family, joining Perry’s four teen daughters, adopted son and two great nephews. His adoption was finalized over Zoom.
It was always Perry’s intention to adopt Vonne, but the transition takes time. His caseworker, Kamala Renick, gave Vonne and Perry some time to adjust to each other, then filed the finalization paperwork when the timing was right.
Renick is one of our staff members who works with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a partner for which we’re extremely grateful.
We thank Perry and her family for considering foster care and adoption. And we congratulate this wonderful family!
